One sight I found said to be careful with flavorings and seasonings in the ingredients of prepared foods.

Since it is hard to find food prepared without these, what is the problem with them and how would one know if they were safe if listed?

Yeah! I was so ticked about that! One of my oatmeal brands listed wheat as a part of the "natural and artificial flavorings". What's with that??!!

It was nice enough to list it, but I don't think they have to by law or anything. I guess we could call the manufacturer if we really wanted to find out. I hate to just keep "trying" things, only to end up with symptoms again. It is such a process! Confused

Hi Rose,

Yup - you have to be careful with things like flavorings or seasonings. You just don't unless 1) The company is nice enough to tell you that on the label 2) You call them and ask them.

MSG can be nasty even if it is GF. It's been known to cause migranes & seizures in sensitive.

These are GF friendly companies that will not hide gluten in things like "natural flavor" or "modified food starch". Those things may still exist in a product - but it will not contain gluten. If it's there - they will list it. As always - if you are unsure - it's best to call the manufacturer
