My son is on the gluten free/casein free diet due to autism. I have been giving him lays chips for a long time. The company claims that they are free of gluten, but I beleive that they are contaminated. Can you tell me another brand of chips I can get him in the grocery store that are sure to be GF.....

There are some really great chips that are made from rice out of southern california, You can always ask your local food store to start carrying them. I love them and they have good flavors. But your Lay's potato chips are fine. I have spoken with them many times and they send me lists on products I can have...Frito Lays, Doritos will list on the back if there are wheat ingredients which I believe only original Doritos have. Tostitos are good too. But here is the info I was telling you about. http://www.lundberg.com/info/glutenfree.shtml[url]

I was at cosco the other and ran accross a Labeled GF potato chip called. MYSTIC CHIPS. from Utz Quality foods of hanover PA. The ingredients list: " Fresh whole potatoes, sliced and cooked in 100% pure cottonseed oil, with salt added. No preservatives added. This is a Gluten Free Food." End of Ingredients. So they state it is GF. I have eaten them they are great. also they have a phone number to call 1-800-411-9671. So for all you potato chip lovers, give it a try or call and get more info. Thanks TJ
