My eyes keep glazing over as if they're fogging up. I thought it was my contacts, but they do it when I'm wearing my glasses. I've also noticed that I have a hard time sleeping at night. I can't fall asleep and when I finally do I wakeup throughout the night. This makes for a very long and hard day the next day. I stay away from caffeine at night and anything else that might keep me up and I just don't know what is doing it. I also seem to be having a gluten reaction in some of the foods I eat. I know they're GF and most days I eat them I'm fine, but some days it hits me. I can't figure out why the same food would not react one day and would the next.

Have you been tested for other food allergies? How about adrenal or thyroid issues? I was doing ok, but still not great before I got the adrenal and thyroid tests. Then my NP put me on thyroid and adrenal meds and it's made a HUGE difference. From what I gather from some of the other posts, it's a common thing to have thyroid issues and or adrenal issues with CD. Just a thought.

I've been tested for hypothyroidism, but nothing came back positive. I'm currently being watched because of a cyst in my throat by my thyroid. I'm afraid I don't know what an adrenal test is. I'm trying to make a list of questions to ask my endocronologist when I come home on spring break.

The one I had was called a "spit" test. I had to keep cotton rolls in my mouth and they tested teh saliva to find out what my hormone levels were.

What kind of test did they do for your thyroid? Did they test both your T3 and T4 levels? My NP said that they sometimes just test one, and that somehow gives a false negative for thyroid problems.

I'm sure that your endocrynologist will have all kinds of information for you. Best of luck! Smile

Maybe the bacon. My husband had a cobb salad at McDonald's and had a problem. Come to read, they say McDonald's bacon is NOT GF.
