| Hey all, I haven't posted in a while. Does anyone know of something I can use to substitute for beer in recipes (mainly batters) other than the obvious GF beer? |

Hi 37,
I have not tried this, but I'm thinking soda water or selzter water? Just because of the carbonation. Some bread recipes will call for that to give it an extra lift or lightness. Of course it wouldn't have the flavor of beer, but some of the physical properties. _________________ Al

| we used a lemon-lime soda in a recipe that called for beer and it turned out really good. |
