| Hi! My husband is a CD patient of about 7 years. He misses his pancakes. The preprepared gluten free pancake flour mix and other recipes I have tried are "packy" to him. I'd like to try buckwheat as it is a different texture. I've purchased Arrowhead Mills wheat free with non- gluten ingredients and would like to try it. The package does not have a pancake recipe. Just bread and crepes. It it safe for him to eat buckwheat? He tolerates oatmeal. Do you have a recipe for buckwheat pancakes? Would like to hear from you.....Carol |

Hi Carol,
I personally don't have a recipe for buckwheat pancakes - but thought I'd respond. I would suggest putting "gluten free buckwheat pancake recipe" into Google. There's lots of GF recipes out there.
The other technique I've used for tracking down recipes is looking through old classic cookbooks - like Joy of Cooking, and Fanny Farmer. Although they're not gluten free, most recipes can be substituted with a good GF flour mix. I'll bet any old fashioned cookbook would have a basic buckwheat pancake recipe you could use with little or no tweaking.
Good luck!

Hi,
My personal favorite is Pamela's GF Pancake & Baking mix. Makes delicious pancakes that you would swear are the real deal!

Orgran makes a great buckwheat pancake mix, the problem is finding it. Since Organ is Australian, it's easier to find in UK but is now becoming available here. I'm sure there is a source on the net, but I don't know what it is.
