Can anyone tell me why I have been getting severe back pains from my neck to my tail bone. Than my mouth gets really dry. I follow all TheG/F diet to the T!!!!. I was in the hospital beforefor no potassium in my body & was paralized from the neck down for 3 day Crying or Very sad . This concerns me alot the Dr. says that they don't know what is causing this pain. I clean my own house so I know that every thing is not comtaminated Very Happy . The kids leve crumds all over I'm very careful when cleaning I wear Latex gloves & never use the same rags to clean Very Happy. I was all my rags in tide & clorox so I know they r not contaminated. I use clorox clean up to clean my kitchenI cook my dinner before I cook for anyone else & alot of times my family will eat what I eat. I'm trying to get them to go totally G/F.

That's interesting because I have a strange "pinched nerve" feeling at the base of my spine by my hips often now. I also have one at the top of my neck. Went to the doc yesterday and he said I have a muscle spasm in my neck that has shifted a vertibrae. Apparently (as if i couldnt feel them), my whole shoulder and neck area is full of muscle spasms and tense muscles. No more stress than what I usually have as far as I can tell, but if the spasm doesn't go away in a couple weeks I get to look forward to physical therapy Sad 21 is too young to be falling apart Wink

Hi Maria,

Sorry to hear about your back pain. Have you ever had an MRI done of your head/neck and/or back? Could it be a pinched nerve, bulged disk, herniated disk?

I have lower back pain. An mri shows anular tears in the some of the disks. With excersize this pain does get better (I am too lazy to do them most of the time Smile)

I hope you find some answers soon!!

I do have a buldging disks from c3 to c7 from a car accident that happened in 2000. but this pain is different it is on the left side near my hip & In the middle of my spine in that area too It is no where near the disks & it is a different kind of pain. this pain takes me down for hrs maybe all day or even days at a time it is very severe. I asked my GI Dr. what it might be he has no idea.

He won't do any tests to find out?? If that's the case I think I'd find another doctor or ask to be sent on to a specialist.

Yes I'm getting another GI Dr. My mother in law found me 1 that is suppose to be good. she was an RN for 40 + yrs so I think she should know who is who & what they can do for me. she is very upset that my GI Dr. is not doing anything for me I'm very close to my mother in law she is more of a mom to me. she hates to see me in any kind of distress. very wise woman.

I don't think a GI doc is going to know anything about your back problems is he??

If it has to do with celiac he should know all the other symptoms that go along with celiac. the GI DR. that my mother in law got for me knows everything that goes with celiac. he was able to pin it down to I had a kidney stone & I could not feel it in the front of me because I'm bloated it was moving & that was DXing me without knowing me or any of my history. I'm prone to kidney stones & usually know when I have them but this pain was different that is y I asked if anyoneever had severe back pains.
