Hi.
After Posting a many posts on this site, (unhappycramper)thinking I had IBS,changing my diet to exclude all wheat/gluten products, drinking Soy,and was diagnosed as not Lactose Intolerant, but now thinking it may be Celiac Desease,or Colitis,or even a food allergy...I need more tests..
During my many months of abdominal pain, and subsequent weight loss of 66 lbs since last August 05', I wondered if anyone else still suffers from painful cramps located in the Pelvic region mostly right side, ascending Colon area?
Maybe what all this pain is from could be an alergy to Peanuts. I had a Baby Ruth bar (right before a hamburger patty for dinner...I know, silly me)the other night, and thought I chewed it pretty good, then in the middle of the night, I was in so much abdominal pain and loud gurgling noises. Maybe , just maybe that's my problem. The doctor still wants to do an abdominal CT scan, but also thinks this is caused by Stress. The red flag was raised when I lost all this weight and she thinks this is not IBS at all.
So maybe all this is only my Diverticulosis when I eat poorly.
I also Have GERD,but I never get heartburn at all. Thanks! |

| As I was reading your post I thought sounds like diverticulitis. I have been told I probably suffer the same. I won't go in for the scope so nothing definite. I have the same lower right pain, sometimes awful, breath taking pain. I thought I was have an appendix problem at first. It has been going on for 3 yrs. now. I know someone who can't eat sesame seeds she is so sensitive. Neither of us has lost any weight though. I would certainly be concerned if I were you. Sorry I realize this is of little to no help but I am thinking of you and hope you get your health in hand soon. |

| I was just going to say the same things as duchessisa that it sounds like it could be Diverticulitis. In the process of being diagnosed for celiac disease they decided to do a lower GI and all that to make sure there was not another problem as well and I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis which caused the cramping in the lower adominal area. I was told to avoid nuts of any kind and any ither foods that are gritty because they fill the pockets in the intestines and then firment causing the cramping. |
