Well, after almost a week GF and feeling sooo much better my husband and I went to Olive Garden to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was so careful to order the salad - no croutons and no dressing. Had oil & vinegar on the side. Then I ordered a side of grilled veggies - with Olive Oil only. Sounds good so far, but I ordered a Peach Tea - never thinking it would have gluten. I was so sick about an hour after we ate, the pain was horrible. The sad part - I was assured everything I ordered was gluten-free. Even before we went I had called Olive Garden and then asked the server when we got there. Lesson Learned! No Olive Garden...ever again Crying or Very sad

Hi NW,

Sorry to hear that. They may have well been right...the food you got may have been GF...but there could've been a contamination issue.

Could've been the grill. It's best to ask if they can grill it on a foil or better yet have something broiled on it's own platter.

Maybe the Peach Tea. Possibly in the flavoring. Pepsi, Coke, Sprite, 7up...most major sodas are GF.

Maybe when they made the salad, they didn't use a clean mixing bowl and you got a piece of crouton crumb.

This could happen anywhere...not just OG. Eating out is risky.

Hope you feel better soon!!!
