Hi Brittany,
Looks like you've got some really great suggestions so far. I don't really have anything to add other than...Welcome!! You are a special gal to be doing this for your boyfriend. I hope he knows how lucky he is. If he doesn't - make sure you tell him. If he needs proof - have him come here and see it for himself heheheheee Truly, support from loved ones is extremely important. Without the support of Peg [my wife], I would not be where I am today!
It all sounds very good! Now...what time is that party? I assume dress will be casual. We'd hate to come and be over dressed! LOL!!!!
Good luck! Let us know how it turns out. _________________ Al

The more the merrier!
I was acutally thinking about serving mexican food. There are these really great taquitos that you can buy in bulk at wal-mart or pretty much any grocery store that I know he can eat. I've had them myself and they are quite tastey.
As for the alcohol issue, he doesn't drink so that's not a big deal.
Nachos are a great idea! |

I'd be very leary of any processed food without checking into them further. I don't know anything about that brand, but I would call the company to make sure.
Have you read the label to check the ingredients? _________________ Al

| He's eaten the taquitos before with no problems. I haven't actually checked the ingredients list but I know they're made with corn tortillas instead of flour. |

Is there anything like "modified food starch", "natural flavors", "caramel coloring"? Those are some of the big hidden gluten offenders. _________________ Al

| I don't have the box they came in anymore (just a ziploc bag), but he steers clear of natural/artificial flavor and caramel colors so I'm pretty sure they aren't included in them. |

Walmart have started labeling their foods that are GF so you might be in luck. |
