In another post Al mentioned that stained glass got him all excited.

I like to garden, paint and quilt - I was just wondering what everyone else's hobby or talent was? Anyone up for show and tell?

This is a quilt I made for my mom about four years ago.

This is a shade garden I put in the north side yard when we moved here just about two years ago.

Ohh, you ARE talented. I don't think I have any real talent. I'm not particularly good at anything. I love digital manipulation, even though I'm not great at it, playing around in Photoshop is a hobby. Here are a couple of my favorite pics:

And, my little guys birth annoucement... I made it:

RAVES for the quilt and the pictures!

My favorite hobby is reading. Sorry that I can't post anything that relates to that and any talent I might posess :>( I also like to scrapbook and have made some for gifts for my family members. I guess that counts.

I DID play the bagpipes when I was in the high school band. Of course, my lungs were bigger then :>) LOL

lol, I have a motorcycle, does that count? I'm in grad school (biomedical engineering) so I don't have a lot of free time. I'm either on a bike (have bicycles too), in the lab, doing homework, cooking, or on the internet (I'm about to start a motorcycle forum).

I dabble in lots of stuff. Lately, due to the mono I had a few months back and my recent back problems, my free time is spent resting and watching my old tapes.

I like to decorate cakes, cross stitch, paint little houses, create Christmas ornaments.....read

I don't have pictures other than my cakes, but I won't bore you with those.

I love to knit - mostly socks and sweaters.

In the summer I do a lot of canning. I do jams and salsas. I also love to grow heirloom tomatoes and try a few new varieties each year. This year I have a Mr. Stripey and a Yellow Pear. I also love to garden, althought I was just too exhausted this year with this pregnancy so I only have sunflowers, leeks, onions and raspberries. My kids have their own garden with carrots and marigolds.

Not sure how much talent it takes Very Happy , but I am also a Girl scout leader and a Boy Scout leader.

I also do a lot of beadwork. Mostly beaded christmas ornaments.

Of course I have no pictures of any of this because as soon as I make things I give them away....

Thanks Kris!

Peg does the cards, I do the glass.

I have a few more cards to add to her collection.

I'm a Renaissance Lady--oil painter, sculptress, poet, jewelry maker, local historian, frame drum player, teacher and psychic .(I can't imagine how I ever had time to work before I retired!) I love to read and wish I had more time for it. One thing I CANNOT do is take decent photos or post them--this little "right-brained" person is NOT fluent in computerese. (And, yes, I am left-handed Laughing )

All you folks are SOOO talented. Aren't people amazing?!
