That there is a lot of religious type comments on this forum. Not that I have a problem with that lol..

I was just wondering what faith everyone belongs to? (if that is not too personal to ask)

Christian

raised southern baptist

currently recovering from being raised southern baptist (turned me off of organized religion, it's about accepting and support, not ganging up on people so you can be holier than thou and boost your ego or play politics). I'll probably end up a methodist, but anything's possible at this point (can't get a good feel for a denomination is this wacky college town).

I am a born again Christian. I have been a Baptist all my life but recently started attending an Evangelical Free church.

Christian. I'm a born again Lutheran. Really...I am. Was rasied Lutheran (ELCA), fell away for 15-20 years [aka The Dark Years] and Peg brought me back home. What us men won't do for the love of a good women Wink

I'm now VP of church council. #1 item on the VP's To Do List: Replace the defective sump pump in the basement that the VP installed in March.

I am a born again Christian.

I attend a "Bible" Church. It's independant. Basically a cross between Baptist in preaching and teaching and Pentecostal in worship music. LOL! We just had our music director move away, so we're a bit toned down while we are trying out different people to be our new "minister of music".

I teach the 5 year old class once a month, and watch Awana's nursery in the fall and spring once a month too.

I like it alot.

I'm a Christian and a recovering southern Baptist. Now we are closer to Mennonite.

Episcopalian - recovering Roman Catholic, originally raised Jewish - convoluted journey, but it sure wound up in the right place.

Interesting...

I haven't heard of some of these denominations. What is Episcopalian?

And what is the difference between a Southern Baptist and a Baptist?
