I know no one wants to hear me whine and complain. The truth is, I'm starting to become scared.
Last week, (unsure of day) me and both kids went to the Chiropractor (1st time ONLY for daughter, who was just dx'd with mild Scoliosis from her Pediatrician during her school physical.) Matthew and I have been treated by Chiropractor many times last year, going back further than that actually... anyway.. going off topic here.
A couple of days after that, the pain in my neck and head became quite intense. And for the past 4 days now, I have been in pure HELL!!!!! I am hanging on to God with an iron grasp, I know he must know I can't take much more of this!!! I don't blame my Chiropractor for the cause, I know my body has been out of whack, and she was only putting things back where they should be, but in doing so, I do believe she stirred up a beast! I must have several pinched nerves, I can not move my neck, if I move my head at all, INTENSE pain follows from the top of my head shooting down past my shoulders. I swear someone is slamming me with a 2X4
part of me feels I should go back, and that she can help me, but honestly, the kids are the only ones insured at the time being, she adjusted me as a "favor" but also, I am terrified that it could possibly get worse I may be the biggest whimp, but I can't take any more pain. In addition, I haven't taken the kids back, I know they could both benefit from proper chiropractic care, but with the way I'm surffering at the moment, I couldn't possibly risk it with them.
I checked the following medication on http://www.glutenfreedrugs.com/list.htm and they are all on it,.. so I'm taking Aleve, took what Naproxen I had left over 1st), Tylenol, and Tylenol PM (not at same time of course) and Afrin for I have a serious sinus infection as well, which I'm sure is partly to blame, but I've had sinus problems most of my life, I'm sure I have some unknown seasonal allergies.
I don't know what else to do. I have been icing my neck, as well as sleeping on a rolled up towel only, (which helped until last night,) I woke up in more pain today than yesterday. I have tried to be strong, and tough... but I am sooooo miserable, this pain really has to stop, it really is too much!!!
---going to take pain medication so I can be in some shape to teach 30 plus 2 yr olds at church _________________ Kristie M.

Sorry you're not doing well. Have you tried a muscle relaxant? That might help and you can get ones that are combined with pain relief. _________________ If you're hungry, I'd love your support! |

I am sorry that you are in so much pain!!!! Hugs gently so as not to disturb and cause more pain ((((Eeyorific))))
Do you have any pain medication that is perscription......maybe from some dental work or sprained foot? If so, then that is what I would try.
Have you tried standing under a hot shower? If your hubby is home just in case you need help in the shower, I would try that also.
I hope that you feel better! _________________

Hi Kristie,
Sorry to hear about the pain
I'm thinking I'd go back to chiro or maybe even the doc and see about getting some meds (probably anti-inflam.).
Good luck. Hope you feel better soon! _________________ Al

Try ICY HOT, BEN GAY, ASPERCREAM.
And yes you should go back to the chiropractor. Something simmular happened to me once and he told me that sometimes things pop out of wack while fixing other things. _________________ After fifty one years of suffering with blisters and gut pain. And now arthritis.
It only took that long to find out I have Celicac Diease. Go figure.

Ditto on that. If you can't get back due to insurance, go to your regular doc and explain the problem. Hope you feel better soon!  _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

I remeber going through this as well. I had an adjustment done on my mid back area. That night and for serveral nights I would wake up with the worst pain ever. It felt like someone punched me in the kidney while I was sleeping.I ended up sitting up all night in a chair with no sleep.
The chiropractor expalined that some times your body is somewhat used to not being inline. After the adjustment, I had this reaction to the new position my spine was in. After some coaxing on his part I let him continue with the treatment. The pain went away shortly there after and I have been fine ever since.
You really do have to go back and have a chat. They may perhaps suggest some stretching or muscle relaxing therapy you could try
Good luck _________________ GF has really learned me about cooking
