We had sooooo much fun doing the piratey thing yesterday. My husband helped the children all come up with names. They unanimously decided to call our toddler the Powder Monkey (that was a real job on a pirate ship!) because he loves "helping" his Papa pull bullets. He actually has an empty bullet-puller that looks like a hammer, and when papa pounds away with his bullet puller, so does the Powder Monkey.
I was making waffles in the galley and my daughter walked in. I asked her what all the boys were doing. She said one of them was in the living room "plungering". I asked WHY he would be doing that in the living room?! She said, "Because he's a pirate, Mom! He's pillaging and plungering!" I said, "Oh, you mean plundering!. She turned a very piratey shade of red!
Thanks for telling us about this day, Ostrich! We had so much fun! Even our everyday chores became piratey things. My son did NOT sweep the kitchen - he swabbed the deck. My daughter was NOT the dish washer - she was the kitchen wench (She HATED that! She said she would rather be the ship's doctor. We reminded her it was a PIRATE ship, not a cruise ship!)
Now my daughter wants to know if there is a Spanish Conquistador Day!
Off to do my daily plungering -

Old ammunition is in some cases more valuable if the bullet is pulled from the brass casing. Most people refer to the complete ammunition as a bullet, but that is inaccurate. Only the projectile part is the bullet. We do lots of fun and interesting stuff here at our house!

I remember something about you selling antiques and on E-bay. Do you sell the old casings to reloaders or do you do the reloading yourself? Just curious as my husband loads all his own bullets for hunting and target practice. We have the old bullet puller hammer to. _________________ CD by Biopsy 3/25/88 |

| We do both. Ebay does not allow ammunition to be sold, but you can sell all the "parts" to make your own. |

Oh my gosh! Sounds like you had loads of fun!
And it sounds like you could start your own holiday - No one would suspect The Spanish Conquistador Day! _________________ Cheers!
