|
|
I have had limited success with breadmaking, but I have stocked up on lots of alternative flours. My only problem is how I might combine them to use in breadmaking. I'm sure the days of chewy whole grain bread textures are over, but does anyone out there have any ideas about this? I'm also trying to get away from premixed packages - the shipping costs alone are killing me!
Also, there is a site based in Portland, Maine called www.breadwithoutborders. They have a yeastfree bread mix made with ancient grains, as well as a hot cereal mix. Has anyone tried any of their products? Can the yeastfree mix be used to make regular (with yeast) bread?
This is my first time on a forum of any sort, so any help would be wildly appreciated! |

Welcome Liz! Hehe, I understand the bread costs. You'd think you're ordering gold at those prices. Anyway, there's lots of bread recipes around here. Everybody has different tastes.
Oh, and just in case you're looking for more pre-mixed options, check out this thread. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={
