Banquet Boil Bags

HI,First time for posting,does anyone remember the(BANQUET) frozen boil in bags salsbury steaks and gravy that came in a small box?this was a long time ago,dont think i have had any maybe 20 years since i went gf/i really did like those,probably wouldnt be gf any way if they were still around. thanks --carlene,in southwest michigan

Banquet is owned by ConAgra. They will clearly list the ingredients on the labels and not 'hide' any gluten. Nearly everything pre-made with gravy contains gluten as they thicken it with flour. However, with this company, you should be able to tell easily from readingn the labels. I used to eat those at college all the time... but that was quite some time ago (and prior to cooking GF)!

I have noticed that alot of the frozen dinners with gravy are thickened with corn starch. Several banquet meals are, but I don't know if they are really GF.

Talking about the dinners. Are there any at the market that are GF? I was looking forever for one without modified food starch, no luck. Sad

Not many options for a quick meal in a hurry I feel. Ant suggestions?

Amy's frozen stuff is really good and several of their dinners are GF. They are vegetarian, but I don't have a problem with that. My husband, on the other hand, prefers to have meat in his meal.

Thanks for that. I am familiar with Amy's, I haven't found them in Market Basket though. I will just have to stock up when I am at whole foods. I know some markets have Amy's but I haven't seen any around here yet. It's just hard sometimes and I get frustrated because I get hungry and end up snacking rather than a meal.
