Hi there. One of my friend's has celiac disease and I am looking for some good finger food recipes to serve at a party she is coming to.
Does anyone have some good gluten-free shrimp and/or spinach dip recipes I could use???
Thanks! |

An extremely easy one would be to mix some tiny frozen shrimp with a cocktail sauce and pour over cream cheese. Serve with a GF cracker like rice crackers. etc. _________________ Sue Beyer |

| Now is any cocktail safe for celiacs? Cause I noticed most of it has vinegar in it and I've read different things about different vinegars. So just want to be on the safe side! |

Hi Lindz,
I'm not a big cocktail sauce consumer, but we use Golden Dipt® Seafood Cocktail Sauce. I love shrimp, however!!
Philly Cream Cheese is GF.
Any distilled vinegar is fine. Malt vinegar you want to stay away from.
Some here might have a killer shrimp cocktail sauce recipe. Things have been a bit quiet around here with the holiday... _________________ Al

Cocktail sauce is basically just a mixture of catsup and horseradish if you need to make it yourself. From what I have been reading, vinager is a distilled process and is ok unless a flavoring has been added afterward. I will admit that the recipe is from before my diagnosis days, and I haven't made it since then mostly because I haven't had an occasion to, so I haven't gone out and read those labels or looked them on on various lists, but I did assume that there would be at least on product that was GF and usable. _________________ Sue Beyer |

I like my wife's Herb and Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe for a nice appetizer / finger-food. _________________ Mike
