petechiae

I've heard that petechiae can be caused by celiac.. is this true? (I really hope so!!)
I woke up this morning with a large patch of it under my chin. From a distance is looks like I fell and scraped it on the pavement, and although I tend to be accident prone I know that I haven't hit my chin. When I was younger (like around 10) I had ITP and had to go to the hospital 1-2 times a week to check my blood counts, and get a physical. I was told that I 'grew out of it' by the time I was 12. And I haven't had a problem for around 8 years now. I've got a little bruising on my legs too (although those very possibly could be a result of my accident proneness!! Laughing

)
I'm going to go for bloodwork tomorrow afternoon. I really really hope this is related to celiac and that I don't have blood problems again.
