Well, it took me 5 months, but I am FINALLY back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Pregnancy post-GF is sooooo much different than pregnancy pre-GF. In my pre diagnosis pregnancies, I only gained about 25 pounds and it was gone within a month after delivery. With my post diagnosis one, I gained 53 pounds (20+ of water since it was in the middle of summer) and it took a lot of time and WORK to get rid of it. I've pretty much had to give up most GF breads and most sweets and just allow a treat once in a while. It really is true that a GF diet can be very simple-carb-heavy.
This is just encouragement to keep on trying if you are on the weight loss wagon. It really is harder to lose weight once you start absorbing what you take in. Go figure! _________________ -Colleen

Way to go Colleen! You're a better person than I. I don't think I could ever give up all my carbs and sweets. My diet is restricted enough as it is.
What'd you do for exercise? Or was it just a diet change? _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

Exercise has been my eliptical trainer for 30 minutes 3x a week, a step aerobics video 3x a week and walking at lunch when the weather is not too crappy. I really need to add back in the yoga/pilates I used to do. Also more weight training. But with the baby and the other kids, I am lucky to get any time to work out. _________________ -Colleen
