1/2 c ABC flour
1 c DEF flour
1/4 c HIJ flour
equals 1 3/4 cups of "flour".
Now, my question is, can you simply replace all those different "cups" of flour with 1 3/4 of a GF mix (any brand)? |
My experience is that in order to make really really good gluten-free recipes, you need to experiment with the flour-mixtures and fine tune them for each recipe. I never use a flour mix because of this. I've got plenty of recipes available via my blog, and you'll see what I mean. There are certainly some similar ingredients in many, but the proportions change quite a bit from recipe to recipe to achieve optimal results. _________________ Mike

For simplicity, I have found the Bread from Anna mixes will produce one incredible loaf of bread, and certainly rival any on the book cover. I also have a few really good ones that you may be interested in trying - I feel confident they can compete too (via my blog if you are interested: http://gluten-free-blog.blogspot.com/ ).
I hope you can find a bread recipe that makes you happy. Great bread surely makes life a better experience! _________________ Mike
