I'm not sure this would be considered "dining out" - but I thought I'd post it here.

I recently noticed that the prepackaged salads (egg, tuna, ham) in the local grocery stores have "contains wheat" notices on them.

In looking further.... they list "bread crumbs" in the ingredient list.

Certainly, I never would have imagined that tuna or egg salad would have bread crumbs.

So, just posting as an FYI.

They probably do it to extend the product and sell more?

sounds like bulky filler to me - it costs a lot less to add bread then eggs or meat...
