HI,

We are going to Disney World in June. We are staying at Camp Wilderness in our RV. We are planning to make some of our meals and will eat some of our meals at the park. Does anyone have any place that you would recommend eating at? We are going to Magic Kingdom,
Animal Kingdom, MGM, and Epcot. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Al,

Thanks for the information. We went to Disney World last year in our RV. I thought that we would be preparing all of our meals ourselves but that did not work out very well. The only thing I knew for sure that was GF in the park were the turkey legs. We will be much better prepared this time! I am looking forward to a much needed vacation and I will say hi to Mickey for you! Very Happy .

My husband and I are currently planning a trip to WDW in December of 07. I've been working with a travel agent, and she's very experienced with helping people with gluten issues prepare for dining issues.

There are many places online where I've found terrific information about dining in Disney with food restrictions. Am I allowed to direct you to a website?? I don't want to get in any trouble here.... but you can go to allears.net and there is a LOT of great information there. =)

We just got back from our trip to Disney World and my experience was much better than last year. We ate out at several restaurants and the meals were very good. The chef at each of the restaurants would come to our table and let us know what they could prepare GF for us. At the Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom, my daughter chose to have roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy and vegetables. I had a salad which had apples, pecans, smoked cheddar, grilled chicken, field greens and honey shallet dressing. It was wonderful! Our meals were served with GF dinner rolls. The chef made us a GF brownie with ice cream and raspberry sauce for dessert and waited until my daughter took a bite to make sure she liked it.

We ate at L'Originale Alfredo Di Roma in Epcot and had Antipasto all'Italiama which had Italian cheeses and meats with GF bread and olive oil. I had GF Fettuccine Alfredo and my daughter had a tomato sauce on her GF pasta. She had gelato for dessert.

At MGM, we ate at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. The chef told us he makes a Chicken Pot Pie for people that are GF so we had that. He used GF rolls for the crust on the pie. It was good, but not my favorite meal.

In Animal Kingdom we ate at the Rainforest Cafe. They had GF chicken fingers and fries there, but my daughter opted for a grilled chicken breast and fries. I had grilled salmon and broccoli. We were pretty limited on our choices.

My daughter had a GF turkey leg for lunch one day and I had a chicken salad from Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn & Cafe. Every restaurant has a book which lists all of the ingredients in the food and this salad was safe to eat.

Bethany at Auntie Gravity's went to a lot of trouble to make sure that the soft serve ice cream was safe for my daughter to eat. My husband had looked at the ingredient book but was not sure if it was OK . Bethany was not sure either so she called one of Disney's allergy people at home to find out (it was late at night). They said the ice cream was O.K. but to stay away from anything made in the blender.

At the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, we would let the person who took our order know that we could not have gluten, so the would get our ice cream from a new container and use a clean scoop.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful and didn't act like we were any trouble. I didn't get sick at all and either did my daughter. We had a wonderful experience this year!

Hi, We have been there several times, and have found them to be great! Any sit down restaurants were very helpful. I called gust services before we went and axplained the diet. They gave me the phone # for the restaurant and told me to let them know which day and time we would be dinning so they would expect us. When we sat down the chef would come to our table with the menu book and tell us exactly what was gluten free. Some of the places even made a special dish and brought them to the table.

We really liked Hollywood and Vine in MGM the best. The chef was fantastic. There was enough food on the buffet and he offered to cook gluten free pasta.

Have a great time!
