Hi Lizzie,
Welcome!!
I am glad that you are being proactive about your health. If you've looked around here enough, you've probably seen most if not all of your symptoms could be related to CD or GS (gluten sensitivity).
If you are considering get an offical diagnosis, I would recommend that you do not go on the GFD until you get tested. In order for those test to be accurate, you must be consuming gluten. Once people stop gluten, they often don't want to go back on it for the tests. Then again...you may be the type of person that does not need an offical diagnosis...which is great.
I wish you and your friend luck and health! I have heard of many people getting great relief from their Fibro with a GFD.
If we can be of any help...don't be afraid to ask!! _________________ Al
