Not sure if this counts as "dining out" or not...

Anywho, DH and I were hoping to host a few parties over the summer. This would involve cooking out on one of those charcol grills everybody and their monkey uses. You know, the ones that're usually bolted to a cement slab. Is CC something to worry about, or does the grill burn hot enough to carbonize everything?

What about camping equipment? Do you bring your own set of cooking stuff? Use the communal stuff before everybody gets to it? Toss it all into a bonfire afterwards, screaming about the "unholy glutens"?

I have DH cook my stuff on foil on our outdoor grill. I can't imagine us getting it clean enough to do true GF cooking on it, never mind a public grill with who knows what on it. When we have cooked non-GF food (on foil) at the same time as GF food, I've used separate utensils as well.

Could you get a little cheapo portable charcoal grill to cook your stuff separately? A couple of years ago I got one for my mom that was less than $10 at Walgreen's or CVS. It might be worth it for peace of mind, and avoiding others' possible "oops - sorry I ruined your GF food with these crumbs from my hamburger buns and my marinade and my breaded chicken breasts" moments.

Foil all the way, Poke some holes in it if you want the burgers to be more grilled like (so the extra juices can drip off).
