...or so the stores would like you to think.

So - what is GF out there for Easter goodies ? Maybe we could start a list...

There's only one Easter candy as far as I'm concerned...Cadbury Mini-Eggs. Creamy milk chocolate...crunchy candy coating...perfection.

Unfortunately, Cadbury is owned by Hershey's. My ban on Hershey products is taking a short time out, but it will resume the day the Mini-Eggs are no longer on the shelf.

LOL!! Now that's what I call conviction! Wink

I'm glad to see a bit flexibility...

What can I say?

I'm still not buying other Hershey products like Almond Joy or those new coconut stuffed Kisses.

FYI, In Canada Hershey is not owned by Cadbury, it is a subsidiary of The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY). Cadbury is a subsidiary of Cadbury-Schweppes. Therefore American issues with Cadbury may not affect Canadians. Call the companies for confirmation of GF status.

Peeps! How about Peeps? You would think that I would out grow my fondness for Peeps, but I haven't. Pink ones are the best!

I'm taking my chances on the Cadbury Mini Eggs! We start buying them when they hit the shelves, and buy them at 1/2 price if there are any left after Easter.

I am waiting for a reply from Hershey's for an email I sent over the weekend. Perhaps with enough feedback, they'll figure it out.

Ooh, I *love* those Cadbury eggs!!! I feel like I'm about to enter a diabetic coma after eating one, but they're OH SO YUMMY! Smile

The only good thing about Peeps is sticking them in the microwave and seeing how long it takes before they explode. Wink

Tis the season for Cadbury eggs! Mmmm, stick them in the fridge for a little while before you eat them.

Any color, my favorite is when the get to the air for awhile and get a little hard, alas they never seem to last that long. Last time I checked Peeps were gluten free, (I can't eat them anymore however, way to much concentrated sugar for me)

FYI: Rumor has it that peeps are one of the only things that can't be disolved by being soaked in coca cola?! Shocked

This is a heads up that in the US, Cadbury Creme eggs now contain wheat. Don't know if this applies to all sizes, but the pic below is of the full-sized one. Glad I don't like these things, but I have a feeling some of you are going to be bummed.
