Hi, does anyone know where on the internet you buy popcorn flour?? It is an ingredient in at least one of the Bette Hagman books and there are some recipes that I would like to make using it, but I can't find a place to buy it! Confused

Thanks ahead of time for any help! Very Happy

Hi Becky,

I had not heard of it or seen it available for purchase...so...I googled it...

http://www.breadmachinedigest.com/library/glossary-p.html

Popcorn flour. A powder-soft flour ground from popped kernels of corn, popcorn flour is something you must make yourself. Pop unflavored, unsalted popcorn, then grind the cooled popped kernels in a blender or food processor until fine. This flour can be stored the same way you store all your flours. Approximately 3-1/2 ounces of unpopped corn yield 4 cups of unpacked flour.

Very interesting!!!

Wow, Bette H. doesn't mention that in her book! Hmm, I wonder if it is worth the effort?? Maybe I'll try sometime.

Thank you very much Al for finding this out!!!! As always, you are most kind! Very Happy

I'll let everyone know if I try this and it works! (but I dont' know, once my son and I smell popcorn I might just have to throw butter and salt on it and it'll be all gone!)

Hi Becky,

In one of her books she does mention Popcorn flour. She said it was available from Authentic Foods (they have her 4 bean flour which I like). So I went to website...they don't list it. Must not have been a big go-er Very Happy

I miss popcorn. I can't have it due to diverticulosis. There is a company that has a puffed popcorn that is a good sub.

Please, let us know if you try it!!
