Help!
I do alot of Asian and Thai cooking and I can't find soy sauce, even in the health food stores, without wheat.
Also, is tofu OK?
Thanks Francesca |

Look for San J Wheat Free Tamari (which is gluten free as well as wheat free). It's very similar to soy sauce (basically the same thing, just a small difference in processing).

Tofu should be fine, but when in doubt, call the manufacturer. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

I use Braggs Liquid Aminos. It is great. Any good health food or natural foods store should have it.

I love Bragg's as a soy sauce sub. It is also great on salads with a little lemon juice. Holy Moley that's a big jug 'o' Bragg's! _________________ Nance

That's how Colleen makes her budget. She gets 55 gallon drums of it and the cost per serving is next to nothing and lasts forever! heheheee _________________ Al

Colleen's got that covered too. Tunneled deep into the earth she has vast chilled caverns for storing those massive quantities of bargain goodies. <snort> <chuckle> _________________ Al

You guys think you are sooooo smart. I don't have caverns in the earth. But I do have a Romulan Cloaking Device to hide my 487 rolls of stockpiled toilet paper.
You did give me some new budgeting ideas, though. Tunnels in the earth and barrels of Braggs. Hmmmmmmmmm........ _________________ -Colleen

ROFLOL!!! Too funny!
Hey, Colleen, I hope you know it's good natured. And as for that stockpiled TP, nothing wrong with that! We are still using up bars of ivory soap we bought in 1999 in case there was a Y2K glitch. My husband was very worried about running out of soap! _________________

When MrP started having issues with the corn based soy sauce, we started using Miso.
Since the lastest developments, we are searching for a sub for that. _________________

*sniff* *sniff*
You guys just keeeeep laughing. I'll just sit here and cry in "Food Knox" on the years supply of laundry soap I bought last week. And I'll keep well hydrated with my years supply of dehydrated water.
PS - I don't really have 487 rolls of TP. But I do have 100. _________________ -Colleen
