I have wanted to ask about this but really didn't know how. Let me start from last Oct. One morning I woke up and noticed a large dimple under the left rib area. Looked strange but felt ok. That night getting ready for bed I noticed it was much larger, you could put a walnut in it. The next few days I noticed other areas of my stomach getting these same sinking areas and so called the Dr. He did x-rays and tests and nothing came back as a problem but can't explain these sinking problems. It now looks like I have lost lots of weight with lots of lose skin. My daughter last night hadn't seen it before and it grossed her out. She was mostly disturbed by the sinking hole as I call it which is now larger. Since CD is a problem of the small intestines is there something that is going on that others have experienced and my Dr. just isn't aware of. I have searched and can't find any answers.
Since I wrote last the wedding is over. I know I shouldn't but did have several bites of cake. I had a plan but didn't follow through. Doing good right now though.
Have a great day

Hi dkad,

Hmm, I have not run across this at all! If I do...I'll let you know. Very strange.

I hope the wedding went well! Let's see...your child's 1st fiance's parents had issues with your daughter being a celiac, right??

Take care!

Hi,

So sorry to hear about the problem. I've never heard of anything like that either. What other tests did he do? I'm wondering if your doctor offered to refer you to a specialist. Do you have any university hospitals/clinics in the area. I once had 3 GP's tell me they hadn't seen what I had, but when I went to the specialist he said they saw it frequently. One GI I saw told me that the squeaky wheel gets the grease and to squeal louder. So, keep in there, and I pray you can find an answer soon.

God bless,
Patty

Al, good memory, yes my daughter's first f. had issues with CD. Right now I just can't believe my baby is so far, far away. Boston, not just a 4 hr. trip to the city. And in reply to Patty, I am going to go back to the Dr soon as I have been losing weight really fast lately and am not trying. I have had a general feeling of sickness. I have been very good on the no glut. Two years ago this Dr. suspected an undectected lymphnomia but tests showed nothing. In reading it could have gone to sleep and is now raising its head again. Since I have already had colon cancer this is a real possibility. The DR. put me through everything and decided to try steroids which he said my calm down the CD but I had a bad reaction to it and spent 6 days in the hospital. They decided than my problems were depression and put me on antidepressents which only made me feel worse and I had to get off of them to get my life back. My primary care Dr. feels I need to take something but there is something in them that my body won't tolerate. I never did check if the med. had glut. I guess I need to clarify that the antidepressents also are to help with the pain of my head injury I had 3 1/2 years ago.I have to drive about 100 miles to the Dr. so it is hard to go. I almost don't want to go see him but there aren't a lot of gastro Drs. in the panhandle of TX. This Dr. also seems to really try hard and was the first one to acknowledge the CD. Working with workers comp I have found that it is sure true the squeaky wheel is the one who gets the attention. I appreciate your prayers.
Have a great day
