Hehehehee Flattery will get you nowhere in this case. That picture was taken on our dining room table yesterday afternoon.
Peg promises the 1st thing when we get back from vaca, she'll tweak the recipe and post it. _________________ Al

Al and Peg have been home for close to 48 hours and there's still no recipe for fudge puddles. I'll continue to wait (impatiently). |

TEC, I think that you have been very generous......I think that you gave Peg 24 hours more than most would have wanted to give her.
OH PEGGGGG?

Al & Peg LOL @ everyone!
Peg said since I was doing the Disney Dissertation and NOT doing the laundry...she had to do the laundry before working on the FP's.
She hasn't forgotten about it cuz I told her on the flight back home that y'all would be clambering for this. At this point, all we can hope for is a Low Census day [no doc in the office] sometime this week.
Please be patient. Just like at Disney, you'll have to wait. Unfortunately we don't have our Fast Pass machine up and running yet. _________________ Al

The worst part of vacations is the first 2-3 days back in the real world--laundry, catching up on sleep, phone calls, etc. I couldn't resist taking the opportunity to tease you about them.
I'll continue to wait...patiently. |

The baking gods have smiled upon us...
Peg had a low census day today, so she baked me lots of GF goodies. Banana bread, Pumpkin Bars with an updated flour mix [much less bean flour, much closer to NGF texture]. Oh and....FUDGE PUDDLES!!!!
Peg will write down the recipe and we'll post it tonight.
They definitely are less sweet. She said she's still not 100% happy with it, but they now taste very much like the NGF ones. More tweaking will be done before Cookie Daze in August. _________________ Al

drooling with anticipation! I wonder if Peg has any idea of just how many fudge filled e-kisses she's in for. _________________ Kristie M.

pardon me Peg
I scrolled to the 'top' of the thread to double check realising that when I checked the first time, I was only checking the 2nd page out.
I should have known that you had not taken on Al's bad habits. LOL
Thanks. Now I am off to read and drool over those pictures. _________________

For those that are allergic to corn, here is a sub for the condensed milk
the first part makes up enough to equal 1 can.........if you chill it in the fridge for a few hours, it thickens up just like the can.
Sweetened Condensed Milk****(M. E.).....that's my Mommy LOL
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup Dry Milk Powder
3 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup boiling water
Put all ingredients in a blender and mix for 1 minute or until smooth.
Triple recipe:
2 cups sugar
3 cups dry milk powder
9 tablespoons butter
1 cup boiling water
For those allergic to peanut butter, Cashew butter makes a great sub! I made MrP some Reese's cups with it. _________________

Yippee! Thank goodness for few sick people today! Thanks Peg!
I'm going to make these cookies for a meeting on Saturday if I can get quinoa flour. I wonder if I can grind quinoa flakes or quinoa grain into quinoa flour...hmm. Thoughts?
FWIW, I've also used a pestle to smash dough into muffin pans before with good results.
I'll report bake tomorrow night. |
