I shop at my local Kroger, which is now stocking GF soups and stocks that are clearly labeled as GF.
Things like black bean and corn, butternut squash, chowders.
Lots of things are being labeled as wheat-free, but that's no guarantee because it might contain oats.
I saw a Dr. Donahue column this week in my local paper that talked about celiac disease, and how more diagnoses are being made because doctors are more apt to look for it now.
Seems to me if we have to be celiac, this is a good time. Shopping is fun, and I am always pleasantly surprised and gratified when something is labeled as "gluten free" and it's not even in the "gluten-free" section. _________________ Freed from Gluten, July 2006 |

Good to hear, Rags! It's always nice when stores start catching up with this stuff.
You're talking about the labeling on the package, right? Our local grocery store is still mislabeling the shelves.  _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={
