Photoshop and etc.

Hi I know this is COMPLETELY of topic, so that's why im putting it here. I'm thinking about starting a website with my best friend, but I don't have photoshop, dreamweaver, and i know nothing about HTML XHTML CSS Javascript or any of that other stuff. I'm plodding through Building Web Sites for Dummies, but it I'd like some pointers. help?

Anywho, what do you need help with? Anything in particular? You don't need all that fancy stuff to make a website. You can actually do it with TextPad, some FTP software, and GIMP.

If this is going to be something like a blog, I would just sign up for Live Journal or My Space.
