After two trips to the emergency room our specialist would like to look into fructose intollerance and malabsorption. Has anyone had this experience? I am wondering how common this is with celiacs? Boy this scares me in meal planning for him.

Hi, sorry about replying a year late!

There is a dietician in Australia who is a bit of an expert in fructose malabsorption - Sue Shepherd. Her website has some information about this problem. She claims that up to 40% of celiacs may have issues with absorbing fructose. www.coeliac.com.au/fructose-malabsorption-info.html
