Torrey sent me the link for these guys a couple of days ago. I managed to find them at our local Whole Foods. The problem is they're $8 per box, or roughly $1 per ice cream ball. Shocked Anybody else have a bigger ice cream budget and is willing to try these?

I'm not familiar with that brand. Trader Joe's sells mochi ice cream balls in their freezer section. Maybe the price would be lower. I have seen that type of thing in asian markets before, too.

Zowie those are expensive. I think the last time I bought clothes I got a whole outfit for $8.00 - including shoes!

I'm still trying to come to terms with $6 for a bag of pretzels. I'm not ready to accept $8 ice cream yet. Laughing

We don't have a Trader Joe's, but let me know if you try their mochi ice cream.

Hmmm, we have an ice cream maker. Maybe I can make my own....

Sometime ago I tried the greet tea ice cream mochi from TJs. I couldn't get past the texture of the outer layer and only ate a couple, but the flavor was good.

I think I once saw them at Meijer or maybe even Marsh. Os, if there are any Asian markets in your area you might even look there.

I've tried them, although they were a different brand.

Good stuff. If there is an asian food store handy they will be cheaper there. Wink

Our large Asian market left because it didn't have good access from the main road. It's now a spice store, which will probably go under before 2009.

I'll start looking for hole-in-the-wall stores. Thanks! Smile

The one near me also has many tempting things such as almond cookies. I am afraid that moving closer to the store will make me fat. Wink
