I recently stumbled into the world of Nutella. It's creamy, chocolatey goodness now calls to me like a siren from my pantry. And yes, it's gluten free. (I'm not sure how well that link will work, considering it's their site translated through Google.)

Anywho, since I really don't want to spread this stuff on toast, I was thinking I could make cookies or some sort of treats and incorporate it in. Anybody have any good Nutella recipes?

There are lots of recipes here and here. Many would have to be converted to GF, of course. This nutella cheesecake recipe looks awesome! And it would be GF as long as you used a safe crust.

I haven't tried Nutella becaue I am sure I would like it. A lot.

Yes. You would. And then we'd have to go on a diet together. Laughing Thanks for the links! So...many.....calories.....maybe I can make the cheesecake and pawn it off on my coworkers.

Kris - I tried it last night on some GF ginger snaps. Odd combination, but pretty good. I already eat peanut butter off a spoon. Don't give me any more ideas! Wink

In Spain, they made a bun similar in shape to a hot dog bun and it was filled with nutella. My kids loved it.

I am not a huge nutella fan.............hazelnuts aren't my favorite, but I am glad that you have siren in your pantry! We all need something to pamper ourselves with! Very Happy

ROFLMAO! Before I cut out dairy, and thus Nutella, I had to ration myself and use a small spoon. This stuff is like crack. Watch out Os!
It is awesome on Pecan Nut Thins.

Put a hunk of it in the mixer and mix until nice and creamy. Then, spread on cake or fill two cookies for a fix. Mouth's watering and I don't even care for Nutella.

I did see a new to me product last week at Aldi of all places. It was Nutella and some white frosting looking stuff striped in a jar . I think the white was white chocolate but I can't exactly remember.

I've seen the same stuff, TEC. I think it's supposed to be some sort of "Milky Way" concoction, if I remember correctly...

I have such fond memories of Nutella...back before I was GF, I used to eat it on warm croissants...good stuff. Smile It would probably be pretty good on rice cakes, too...

Oh crap, more temptation!

I was thinking along the lines of what TEC said: frosting some cookies or a cake with it. I was just trying to figure out a recipe that would play nicely with the hazelnut/coco flavor.

you could also dip a banana in it and take a bite, dip it again, etc. I just had a banana and I think it would have been good with nutella. See? There are healthier options.

I like it, but I don't think I'll join a cult over it or anything. I've only tried it on a spoon, so I think I need to try some of the other "nutella delivery systems" mentioned in this thread.

I haven't bought any in a while because
A) it's too addictive!
and
B) Emmett would ransack my pantry in order to try and open the container...only cat I know that's a chocoholic! Shocked

Ooooooh, Nutella...

Best thing in the world on fresh-baked bread, GF and otherwise...

Kinda glad I am not near my Zoji right now, as I've been bad enough this week already. Twisted Evil
