Does anybody have any GF dining info about Universal Studios and/or Islands of Adventure in Orlando? We're going there in a couple of days and I couldn't find anything online. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

Well, I wouldn't recommend eating at Universal/Islands of Adventure. All they have are those little side stands and a few places that serve burgers. The chances of CC are waaay too high. The only place I'd try would be the Hard Rock Cafe outside the parks. (I think we have a thread about Hard Rock somewhere.) I ended up munching on GF breakfast bars all day. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

We ate at the Grand Oak (?) in Islands of Adventure (the tree restaurant by Dueling Dragons) a year ago. I spoke to the head chef for IA and they had a dedicated fryer there for their fries and the bbq sauce for ribs/chicken was GF. From what I remember, the selections around the park weren't very good for a GF diet. Once you've been to Disney nothing can compare.
I called and spoke to chefs at both parks and they were very accommodating. I think one of the restaurants had GF pasta, Poseidon maybe?
Good Luck! |
