Hello Everyone,

Wanted to know if I'm unique, or if there are others who have intolerance of some sort to Chebe bread mixes? I love their products and think that they're all terrific, but I always find myself feeling ill a few days after eating them (it's not due to the added eggs or milk either because I don't have the same responses to those items when eaten separately or in combination)

Thanks

Hmmm, I don't I've heard of anyone reacting to Chebe. Interesting...

Sorry to hear that it gives you problems.

Perhaps you have an issue with tapioca, or something that is served with the Chebe.

I can't eat Chebe because of the tapioca. Unusual, yes, but not unheard of.

Might be tapioca. I would lose it completely if I had to give up Chebe. I am trying to not eat it every day so as not to develop some sort of intolerance to it.
What do you typically eat with/on/in your Chebe?

Nope. We have no problems with Chebe. If you cut into one of my veins, Chebe would ooze out. Laughing

Chebe is pretty much tapioca and nothing else. Sounds like you could be reacting to that?

Okay, I think that this group may be on to something regarding my possible reaction to tapioca. I've had problems, similar to those that I've had with the Chebe bread mixes, with a number of the commonly available, pre-made gluten-free breads. I've always assumed that either these were not completely gluten-free, or that I was reacting to something that I could not pinpoint in their ingredients. This mystery item may very well be tapioca.

So, let me re-state my original question, rather than asking specifically about Chebe breads, how many out there have experienced problems with products containing tapioca in general?

While it might be interesting to know who has issues with tapioca the answers aren't going to help determine whether or not you do.

FWIW, I don't have any problems with tapioca.
