Since Mr. Walken seemed to spark some interest, I thought I start his own thread.
He definitely has a creepy, unearthly feel to him. I think probably the 2nd movie I saw him in [The Dead Zone], was just unbelievably creepy. I haven't seen the movie since it came out, I probably should rent it. I did see Deerhunter. The drug induced russian roulette scenes are so intense for me to watch.
I saw him in Click - the Adam Sandler movie. He was the mad scientist that created the remote. Very Walken-esq.
Peg saw him in Hairspray, she said he was very good there too.
Until I looked him up in IMBD, I never realized he was in so many movies. HOLY COW! _________________ Al

Hehehe Where's Colleen and her "What this post needs is some more cow bell" sig?
Please don't resurrect that animation in the signature - it's drives me batty to see him hammering away at the bell on all those posts. LOL!!

AL, you can probably find it on youtube.
He used to really creep me out. I don't think that I could watch such intense movies that you noted above. (I get too involved in a movie to handle 'intense')
I have seen him on Saturday Night Live and thought he was quite funny though. _________________

You mean this one!?!?!?
Actually the animated one belonged to Jayhawkmom - this one was mine.
I love me some Christopher Walken. He was great in Pulp Fiction even though I hated that movie. He was also good in Hairspray and Wayne's world 2. He actually has quite an impressive resume. I think he's creepy too, but in a funny way. _________________ -Colleen

Yes, it's there. I saw it on Youtube a couple of years ago, and cannot listen to that song now (it's on my MP3) without laughing.
I personally am deeply, madly, forever in love with Christopher Walken. Always have been, always will be. (Take care not to insult him. ) |

I absolutely died when I saw him in Envy. The line "Smoky didn't notice the dead horse on the roof" has become a new "princess-bride line," one of those quotes you use all the time. _________________ GF since May '07, positive blood-test results. |

To find the children's movie he was in LONG, Long, long ago... Puss in Boots. I found it on Blockbuster online and rented it for the kiddos. We had friends over, made some snacks, and settled down to watch a family friendly movie.
Well, about 8 minutes in, we made the kids watch it in their room, and we adults played cards. It was SOOOOOO bad.
But I still LOVE Walken and all his creepy goodness. I've seen almost every film he has been in.
Toothpaste - we STILL are quoting Princess Bride in our house, although the ROUSes freaked the girls out. *Digs out her book for another read through...* |

My MIL got me the DVD HairSpray for Christmas. We watched it late last night. Christopher Walken was in it. He was John Travolta (dressed as a girl) husband. It was very tastefully done and funny. _________________

Must......not........continue..........quotes........
DH is constantly amazed that I can't remember birthdays but can recite The Princess Bride from memory.
I thought Hairspray was an awesome movie too. Walken and Travolta were hilarious. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

I laughed so hard when I read that. Same story at my house. I grew up with three sisters... and we recited The Princess Bride all the time. Even the video game music at the beginning... I think it drove our parents batty. =)
If you haven't read the book, you must! |
