I didn't think it was possible, but after trying everything, we finally found a CF "cheese" that doesn't taste like a$$ and actually melts. It is called Follow Your Heart. We have only tried the mozzarella flavor, but they make others too like cheddar and nacho. No, this will never replace real cheese, but it doesn't taste like plastic and it really works for melting. I sent Sean to school with a Chebe 'za with follow your heart cheese and Ragu pizza sauce (GF/CF), and he is as pleased as punch
Sorry for the soy avoiders, but it isn't SF. _________________ -Colleen

I've seen that a few times but since it cost so much and I didn't know how it tastes I never bought it. I may try it.

Just for the record, I have yet to find any cheese sub that doesn't contain the following (alone or in combo w/ the others):
soy
rice
casein
I ate the rice ones until I found out I was reactive to rice
For an approximation of 'za I'm down to Chebe w/ a little tomato sauce (gotta watch out for those nightshades) and chopped garlic. I'm getting used to it.
Glad you found something for your boy, Colleen. It ain't easy! _________________ Nance

I am really happy about this! I wrote the company and asked if there was any corn in their natural flavorings and there is not so I can eat this cheese sub!

I really hope it works out for you, krisiw. It doesn't taste exactly like regular cheese, but it tastes much better than all the other stuff we have tried. _________________ -Colleen

it's been so long since I've had cheese that it doesn't have to taste like regular cheese. Just somewhere in the vicinity. Cause I miss pizza...

My son ate the cheddar version of this melted on some tortilla chips yesterday. Made a reasonable approximation of nachos. He pronounced it "yummy." _________________ -Colleen
