A truly meaningless bit of fun for your Friday.

My husband were discussing this recently. I believe cokies should be crunchy. He says they should be soft. I say if you want something soft, eat mashed potatoes!

So what do you prefer - soft cookies or crunchy ones?

Then there's chewy.....

For me it depends on the cookie. I like peanut butter cookies that are almost like a shortbread in texture. Molasses should be chewy, as in molasses crinkles. Soft jam-filled brown sugar drops...need to work on converting that one to GF. Crunchy chocolate chippers....unless of course, they've just come out of the oven and the soft chocolate drips out when you take a bite. Thanks Colleen...sound of Steph stomping off to the kitchen to take out some butter to soften. There goes the free time I was going to spend quilting. LOL!!!!

Crunchy, chewy, gooey - whatever. What I really want is cookies that are made from:

wheat flour
milk chocolate
butter
nuts
oats

And contain absolutely NO soy, rice, or substitutes for: dairy, eggs, glutenous grains.

Sorry, I'm feeling deprived lately. Crying or Very sad I can't remember the last time I had a cookie of any sort.

Cool You are too kind. Maybe I need to try the peanut butter cookies that were all over the board last year? Peanut butter and Enjoy Life chocolate chips are my only sweet indulgence anymore since I realized out candies made w/ HFCS kill my lymph nodes. Truly my cravings for mainstream foods and baked goods are about gone. So are 15 extra pounds I didn't need. Very Happy Sorry about the joy kill woe-is-me above. The whole "food thing" grinds on you sometimes, ya know? Oh yeah - you all DO know!

I picked "depends". I haven't had a cookie in forever, but it really depends on the type. I do have a soft spot for chocolate chip cookies that're crunchy on the outside and warm/soft on the inside. Embarassed

Nancy, I'm with you! Half of those things I can't have, and half of those things I shouldn't have.

It depends. Some should be somewhat soft, and others should be kinda crunchy.
