Yay it's February! I've been doing really, really well lately--at least foodwise. I've been trying to eat more and I haven't had many symptoms of food allergies. I haven't gained any weight yet, but I'll keep trying. Also I'm super excited because my hubby's coming home on leave in...14 days? Something like that. And then we're moving.

Congratulations!!! I am so glad your husband is coming home on leave. Please let him know I am so proud of all the soldiers and doing their part to keep us free. My hat is off to him for his bravery. Enjoy every minute!

My first check-in... =)

Happy Birthday, Cruelshoes!

I'm staying pretty busy, housewifing and homeschooling my kiddos - seems like I am busier now than when I was working! Feeling brave enough to experiment a bit with GF baking, so I've made some cakes, cookies, and breads. We've also been enjoying the warm spell we got - not to be bragging, but 70 degrees is about perfect. =)

All in all, the whole family is doing well - this is the first winter in years where my 8 year old daughter hasn't had a mouthful of sores, so I think GF is the ticket!

I made this bumper sticker on cafepress.com for my mom's birthday (joke gift), due to one of her posts on here.

And that's about it for me...

Alison

Hey Oz - I don't know if you posted a picture of your new house or not... did I miss it? (last one I saw was the foundation being put in). Updates? Very Happy

Yay Colleen - Happy Birthday! Glad to see you're celebrating it with green eggs and ham. Wink And we should have a joint party... (My BD is coming up on the 13th. Very Happy I'm going to be 29 again.

So checking in. I went off all my allergy foods (see signature) for the month of January. It was hard at first but then I got into a groove and was feeling better. So of course that's when they decided I should go on a rotation diet. Last Monday I had rice. I was bloated and constipated for a week. Bleh. Then Wednesday I had dairy. Bad, bad, bad. I felt like every fiber and cell in my whole being was inflamed and raw. Truly horrible. I've stopped eating my "allergy foods". I want to call the doc back and tell him I'm not ready for a rotation diet and that my gut needs more time to heal before we try torturing me again. Bleh.

Otherwise it's a busy month. Work is especially nuts. I need to find time to start my taxes. I have some quilts to finish. I need to put together the GIG newsletter (which I haven't even started). I want to work on my portfolio to maybe get a different job. Plus it's my Birthday and my Mom's is the following week so the family keeps planning activities for us (not that I mind!) It's just hard to squeeze it all in. Oh - and I have company coming the last weekend of the month.

Glad to hear every one else is doing so good.

BTW - it's now officially SEVEN years GF! Woot!

Way to go Jenn - 7 years, does it seem as long as it sounds?
Tread carefully with the reintroduction. I have a feeling that is why my immune system is so messed up right now. I tried to add back dairy and beans in a two week time span and WHAM, sick.

Happy belated Birthday Colleen.

Congrats to Hadassah for the baby making.

I can not seem to get healthy no matter what. I am so tired at this point I feel like I am on life support but just don't know it. I keep losing ability in my muscles and they strain for no reason and then don't work.

But after 11 days of rain we have spring weather and sunshine...so I am enjoying every minute of it.

nancw - seven years isn't really too long. I don't miss much. Convenience mostly but things are getting easier as more and more people become aware of it.

Getting aclimatized to all the new food restrictions - much tougher. I think I'm going to keep off the allergy foods for another month and then just try adding rice back in and see where that gets me.

Ooof. The thought of beans and dairy together... Embarassed Hope you feel better soon.

I didn't post last month; I started working full-time and I felt exhausted ALL THE TIME. Since I was only going from 30 hours a week to 40 hours, I was puzzled why that would make me so exhausted. My husband figured it out first -- I'm pregnant. Very Happy

Morning sickness all day long and wanting to sleep all the time are basically the only thing going on other than working.

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well and keeping GF. It sure gets easier as time goes by!

Spring's coming!!!

Congratulations Isto (and the rest of you pregnant types). As long as it's not me I'm happy for you all! Enjoy and be well.
