So what's everybody doing for Valentine's Day? Any yummy GF treats you're preparing? DH has to work, so it'll just be me, the cats, and a good book tonight. Anybody here want to be my Valentine? Very Happy

Oh, and let's not fight about if this is a "real" holiday or not. Valentine's Day is a time to appreciate and share love with all your loved ones (kids, parents, friends, etc), not just your partner.

Thanks for reminding me Os! We don't have any plans. As a matter of fact I was going to make pea soup for supper tonight. Hmmm... Not very romantic sounding! LOL I think there are a couple of steaks buried somewhere in the freezer. I guess I'll dig them out. So the new menu is steak, baked potato, salad, and maybe I'll make a key lime pie. Sounds a little better, huh?

Also forgot to buy DH a card, so I think I'll go quilt him one. We never go out on Valentine's Day. It's just not fun to sit in a noisy crowded restaurant, paying good money to eat mediocre food. Now that I'm GF I really wouldn't risk it. I think the chance of getting glutened during a busy time would be much higher than normal. The odds are bad enough under normal circumstances!

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!!

Steph

We're actually doing Valentine's Day stuff tomorrow. DH doesn't work on Fridays, and I'm taking a half-day. But it's nothing fancy: grocery shopping, finishing our taxes, going out to dinner. We're pretty boring people. Laughing Ah well, the weather here is pretty crappy: dropping temps, snow, high wind. Not very romantic.

we have no real plans to be honest... Razz

I've got grocery shopping to do for next week's menu and then have to come home and make dinner, so by the time it's all said and done it'll likely be 8pm again. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I've got tonsillitis, so...been on meds since Tues, just waiting for them to "kick in" Rolling Eyes
I swear it feels like I've swallowed a golf ball! Confused
Once my insurance is in effect (March 1!), I'm getting these swollen things taken out, as per my doc's recommendation and my choice...it's the second time I've had tonsillitis in 6 months...not a good sign!

Just got a HUGE GF care package from my dad...um yeah, is it bad to eat GF donuts for dinner? Laughing

Okey doke, gang, I apologize for falling off the radar as of late, but work has been REALLY busy and I think that's another reason I came down with tonsillitis, as I hadn't been getting a lot of sleep and my immunity was down...

Anyway, Happy V Day, all! Keep smiling!

We had a pretty mellow night. My hubby made me GF fried chicken and we had leftover GF mac-n-cheese that he made Wed night. I've been feeling pretty crappy with morning sickness and had to come home early from work yesterday. I was pretty excited that I was able to eat last night.

Torrey: Hope you feel better soon!

Oz: enjoy your day with your hubby!

DH made honey mustard coated pork tenderloin with roasted apples, onions and mashed potatoes. Then we put the kiddlet to bed and watched The Holiday which was a very cute romantic comedy. Otherwise it was a low key Valentines Day. (We'd gone out for dinner and to see a play the night before for my Birthday Day. Successfully ate at PF Changs! Seems like it's even more of a miracle with all the new food restrictions. Woot!)
