Is there a place I can find a list of which companies or products are gluten free? Or is it up to contacting the individual drug companies?
If a drug is gluten free in the US (advil, tylenol, etc) does that mean it is gluten free in Canada as well? _________________ Celiac since October 15, 2007. |

Hi Carolyn,
Lists like that are not to be followed blindly. At best they should be used to narrow down your selections. Once you have it narrowed down, it's best to call the manufacturer and specifically ask about the current status.
This was reportedly updated in June 2007:

This was updated 07/02/80:
http://www.glutenfreedrugs.com/ [Always call the mfg yourself].
I'm not sure about meds/drugs, but GF status in one country does not mean it will be GF in the other.
I'm afraid that's about all the help I can be.
I see your scope went reasonably well. I'm surprised you remembered that much. I don't remember a thing about mine. I do remember 1 or 2 things from my colonoscopy [they started with colo. Both procedures where done at the same time].
I hope you'll be getting the answers you've been searching for!! Let us know what you find out. _________________ Al

In a pinch, I have also relied on the Delphi lists. They are updated more regularly than any other I have found. What Al says is true, though. Lists are obsolete as soon as they are posted. The safest thing is always to contact the manufacturer.
Hope this helps. _________________ -Colleen

Thanks Colleen for the updated Delphi link. I checked the one I had in GF Drug List Thread and it didn't work. I put yours in instead. _________________ Al

Get the Clan Thompson Smart List software. That has been a big help to me. _________________ "When you come to a fork in the road, take it." - YOGI BERRA |
