Do any of you take probiotics and if so what brand?
What are your thoughts on it?
Are they safe to take every day or would you just take them if your on antibiotics?
Thanks, Rach |

I take Solgar probiotics every day (the ones that are dairy-free). I take one in the morning and one with my evening meal. I believe they have helped my gut enormously in the 6 months I've been taking them. Digestion is smooth and I don't get relux hardly at all anymore (but I have cut out a significant number of foods too).
I took them normally during a recent course of heavy-duty antibiotics and I have had no yeast issues at all.
They work for me! _________________ Nance

I've been taking probiotics for about 3 years now. They really seem to help. I take one in pill form every morning and one packet of powdered form once a week. The pill I take is Metagenics Ultra Flora IB (from my NUrse Practioner) and VSL3.

I've been taking them now daily for nine months and they have made a world of difference for me! I would highly recommend them. I would also make sure you're taking a high quality product if you can. I was taking a grocery store brand and switched at the recommendation of a naturopath and saw an even greater improvement. _________________ Cheers!

I haven't asked my primary Dr. about them. My guess is he probably doesn't really believe in them because he doesn't believe systemic candidiasis exists.
Anyway, a natural remedy store I went into recommended some probiotics that are called Pearls. They said they're supposed to be one of the best. I've started taking them and I think I can see some improvements in some ways. We'll see... time will tell.
Thanks for your input! |

Does anyone have children on probiotics? I've looked into this lots of times for Bella, but haven't ever put her on them. I've read a lot about kids with autism who are on the gf/cf diet using probiotics to supplement. Bella isn't autistic, but I wonder if they might help her little system to run more smoothly. _________________ Jessie
