Moved this to the General Discussion area so it'd get more attention.

Hi Shelashere
I'm new to this too. Recently diagnosed CD via a blood test. Now waitin for biopsies. It sure takes the medics a long time to gettin round to doin things. I've had the symtoms for 23 years now. Dermatologists say if i stop scratchin my skin it will get better!! Yeah, sure it will. Recent posts on this site have given me more of an insight and maybe once the biopsies are done i can start to get better.
Sorry to hear of your problems. All i can say is keep being insistent that there is some kind of 'cure' to your medics and hang in there.
You have my sympathy for all the pain this is causing you and yours.
My youngest son thought my skin problem was caused by him as he'd overheard me say it started after my pregnancy with him. Took me a long time to convince him it's NOT his fault. My family don't know what to do to help, once it starts to itch, i can't stop for hours on end. It affects so many others that are close to you,it's unreal.
Keep your spirits up and know others understand. Smile

Sheila, Pam here again,

Don't despair, just keep pushing the doctors. Everyone is here for you to ask any questions and there are plenty on here that have been dealing with this for a long time. I've read a lot of feed back on these pages and got a lot of info from them.
I too feel exhausted quite easily. If your daughter hasn't had biopsies or blood tests for positive diagnosis then push for them, the sooner she is diagnosed the quicker you can learn how to deal with it.
Wish you luck. Smile

Welcome Shela,

I am new here as well. 3 mths GF. This is a very overwhelming undertaking. I can't believe where all the hidden gluten is. I am amazed at how much better I feel now. I had diarrhea for 4 months and completely fatigued. I didn't have the energy to do anything. Depression, weight gain.... Doctors could not find the answer. They tested me for everything except CD until I begged them to find a reason for my distress. Stay on this forum, these people have been amazing for me. I trust them with my life. And everyday we can only do the best we can. mistakes will happen we just learn by them.

It does get better! Very Happy
