Ortega products

I e-mailed Ortega the other day concerning the GF status of their taco seasoning mix and taco sauce.

They replied stating that for all Ortega products that they follow strict labeling standards with regard to gluten and allergens. They stated that they insist that any of their suppliers notify them if gluten is used in any of their ingredients and yet is not declared on their ingredient lists. Thus, they say that any Ortega product is fully labeled for the presence of gluten or gluten-containing ingredients. So... another responsible company that doesn't hide gluten!

Ortega is owned by B&G. There is a list of GF products on the B&G website, but for some reason the Ortega products are not listed. Confused

Looks like they should update that.

Ortega should probably be added to our list of GF friendly companies! Thanks for the update. It's always nice to have more mainstream options.
