I thought I would give one more try to see if you have any recommendations for the Denver/Boulder area. I found a local group with a list on line, but it is always nice to hear of any more ideas.
I promise if anyone comes to spokane I will return the favor Very Happy

A friend sent me these:

Deby's, Mercury Cafe, Steuben's

There is also Watercourse, Outback Steakhouse, City O'City, and Uno's

Watercourse and City o'City are pretty specific with their menus. I had a hard time getting my point across to the waiter at Uno's, even though they were on some gluten free list my husband found somewhere. Oh yeah, he got it from here: http://www.lifewithoutgluten.com/

Good luck!

Boulder will be pretty receptive, I've found. But I am new to this, so haven't been to many places yet.

Some that the others have mentioned are gf restaurants, like deby's. If you aren't as worried about cc, Boulder should be pretty accommodating, unless you are going to college places.

Today, I went to Rada. In the Ideal Market Shopping Center. I really like it. It is authentic northern Italian type of food. Earthy (not as in hippy), simplistic in the number of ingredients, but delicious and interesting combinations of flavors.

I asked what they could offer gf and they were on it. They knew which things to suggest. I think there were 4 or 5 entrees.

I also ate at Chipotle, which is healthy fast food--mexican, and did okay, but others here don't do okay.

I wonder if places like Brasserie Ten Ten, The Med(iterranean), The Kitchen, Jill's at St. Julien Hotel, Jak's Fishhouse Q's Frasca, Flagstaff House, 5280 would have something already on the menu or would be accommodating, I would imagine. They are on my list to find out. Only issue is cc, then. Places listed above vary greatly in price. Oh, and I am sure Sunflower would have something. It is a nice veggie restaurant.

Oh, I would love the link to the list of local restaurants with GF.

I am getting ready to start emailing my favorite restaurants to find out their options, so if I can know ahead of time it will be a great headstart.

One option is to get the Gluten Free Dining Out guide by Triumph dining. They have listings of GF and GF friendly restaurants. I've gotten it the past 3 or 4 years. It's a great help when traveling or finding new places to eat in my area.

I also googled "gluten free colorado" and found the following site: http://www.glutenfreeceliacweb.com/2007/04/12/gluten-free-dining-in-and-around-denver-colorado/

Good luck!!
