What ingredients make up the "natural flavoring" in Bush's Baked Bean products?

Although the exact make-up of our "secret family recipe" is proprietary, the "natural flavoring" does not contain any known allergens. For further questions, contact us or write to:

If only they would all make it so easy.

Since barley malt isn't a known allergen will Bush's Baked Beans declare that if it's included in the natural flavorings?

Edited to say that I just saw your other post with the info on the known allergens. So to answer my own question, Bush's does include wheat, rye, barley, oats and even spelf as allergens.

I guess I looked at it this way...known allergens are different than those required by law to be disclosed. Those that are disclosed are just the most common.

The info you saw was for B&G Foods - I don't think Bush's is part of that company.

(A) According to the FDA there are 8 Major Food Allergens, which account for 90% of the allergic reactions in people (1) Peanuts, (2) Tree Nuts (3) Eggs, (4) Soy, (5) Dairy (6) Wheat, Rye, Barley, Oats, Gluten, Spelt (7) Fish, (8 ) Shellfish

Frankly, I've never seen this broken out this way. I was surprised to see this. I wonder if this is B&G's interpretation of the law or it's just understood. Confused
