Hi all,
How do you guys go to work and deal with your symtoms while you're there? I am a teacher and left work last April because I was so sick and didn't know I had celiac at the time. I had such severe stomach pain. It was awful.
I've been on the GF diet for about 2 weeks now. I was just recently diagnosed. Should I be seeing a big difference in how I feel yet? I still feel pretty crummy. I read up on cross contamination last night and believe that it may be a source for my symptoms. Anything I should keep in mind?
Thanks for your help. Jen |

| Bring your own food instead of eating the cafeteria food, for now. I don't know what to tell you about having symptoms at school. Once you get on track with a GF diet, you should see a big improvement in your symptoms plus you will be more versed in what you can and can not have. If you have to eat at school, talk to the kitchen. When you are with a school, it's like a family and hopefully they will be sensitive to your needs. Good luck to you....................Nikki from Houston |

| yes I do agree with nikki. but there are other things that happen to ur body when u have CD. I have been G/F since DEC.2004 and have been out of work since than. 99% of my home is G/F. I use to do private duty nursing for disabled people. I still have alot of medical problems that keep me from going back to work. even though I'm totally G/F. some people recover faster than others. I hope that u can feel much better soon. |
