| My sister, Jane. Dr. told her she needs mor protein and calories. Any suggestion for snacks that don't have a lot of sugar. She's pre-diabetic |

Cheese sticks, yogurt with artificial sweetener or just plain fruit stirred in, hard-boiled eggs, peanut butter on rice cakes are just a few that come to mind quickly. Is your sister GF too? If so, make sure the rice cakes and yogurt are GF. _________________ Steph |

Peanut butter. Any nuts will be good. not sure what the glycemic index on most beans is, but there are lots of ways to make those into a snack as well. Cheese on some rice crackers (preferably whole grain, not sure where to find them but diamond nut things might be a good option) would be good depending on the cracker.
Boost is tolerable, glucerna is actually good IMO butter pecan is the best if you are looking at diabetic nutritional drinks. _________________ Lauren

Nuts and nut butters, sunflower seeds, avocados, cheese cubes, sliced deli meat rolled up with cream cheese.
Hope you find some good ideas for your sis! _________________ -Colleen
