A perfect dinner for a busy day. Serve with a green salad and dinner rolls.

INGREDIENTS:

2 lbs. stew meat
1 Tbl. sugar
1 tea salt
1/2 tea pepper
1/2 thyme
1/2 majoram
1/2 rosemary
6 whole carrots, cut into chunks
3 celery stalks, thickly sliced
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 - 1/2 cup red wine (to taste)
1 16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained
2 Tbl. flour*

*Can be made GF if substituted w/ an all purpose GF flour. Will make a better "gravy" if flour is bean based rather then rice based.

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 250*.

In a 3-quart casserole, combine raw meat and remaining ingredients except flour; mix well. Bake covered at 250* for 5 - 6 hours. During last hour, stir flour into small amount of stew juice; return to remaining stew and continue cooking.
