if you are making bread in a bread maker and you see you need more water is there any time that you are able to add more and still save the bread????

As long as it's still kneading, you can add more water or flour depending on which you need.

Thanks, because yesterday I made a loaf of cement. My machine says to put the liquid on the bottom so when it was mixing I was afraid it was too late. I am going to try again today and increase the amount of water in the begining (I'm using Domata flour) I figure I may need to increase it a bit, then watch it to see if I need more. This is my first attempt at non pre mixed bread. I know practice makes perfect.

Thanks for the help!

Actually, this time it came out ok. I think I used a little too much water, but the bread was moist and the crust was crusty and chewy like french bread. I think my next time I won't use so much water, but I like the chewy crust. That is the texture that I have been missing so long. This may be my forever bread. I may take this same dough and make like sub buns out of it for beef sandwiches or sub sandwiches. these have been huge cravings for me lately.

I sure will, once I'm finished tweaking it.
