if you are making bread in a bread maker and you see you need more water is there any time that you are able to add more and still save the bread???? _________________ GF BD 1/4/2008

As long as it's still kneading, you can add more water or flour depending on which you need. _________________ Steph |

Thanks, because yesterday I made a loaf of cement. My machine says to put the liquid on the bottom so when it was mixing I was afraid it was too late. I am going to try again today and increase the amount of water in the begining (I'm using Domata flour) I figure I may need to increase it a bit, then watch it to see if I need more. This is my first attempt at non pre mixed bread. I know practice makes perfect.
Thanks for the help! _________________ GF BD 1/4/2008

Actually, this time it came out ok. I think I used a little too much water, but the bread was moist and the crust was crusty and chewy like french bread. I think my next time I won't use so much water, but I like the chewy crust. That is the texture that I have been missing so long. This may be my forever bread. I may take this same dough and make like sub buns out of it for beef sandwiches or sub sandwiches. these have been huge cravings for me lately. _________________ GF BD 1/4/2008

I sure will, once I'm finished tweaking it. _________________ GF BD 1/4/2008
